DMRC had earlier reduced the speed of metro trains over four Yamuna bridges amid rising water levels in the river.
After 45 years of breaching the record, the Yamuna which flows through the national capital, has dropped to 207.68 meters this morning even as several areas of Delhi remain inundated.
The river reached 208.66 meters earlier this week, surpassing the previous high of 207.49 meters in 1978.
The Army and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were called in as critical areas of central Delhi were submerged.
