The IRCTC website has been down since 3.30 am.
The website of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), which provides the ticketing services of the Indian Railways, has been down for over eight hours. The Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) has admitted on microblogging platform X that the website is facing a technical issue and the team is working to resolve it. The website went down at 3.30 am after a technical glitch affected ticket bookings for platform users. IRCTC was established in 1999 by the Ministry of Railways.
After users started complaining of not being able to book tickets online, IRCTC shared on X: “Due to technical reasons, ticketing service is not available on IRCTC site and app. Technical team of CRIS is resolving the issue.”
