North Zone wicketkeeper Prabhsimran Singh stunned experts and fans with his one-handed catch during the Deodhar Trophy match against South Zone. During the 39th over of the match, south zone batsman Ricky Bhui tried to play an unorthodox shot off pacer Mayank Yadav but mistimed it completely. The ball was speeding towards Prabhsimran but he pulled a full stretch dive to complete the catch. The video of the catch shared by the Board for Cricket Control in India (BCCI) on Twitter went viral in no time.

Prabhsimran is part of the Indian team for the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games.

Electing to bat first, South Zone scored 303/8 in 50 overs. Rohan Kunnummal (70 off 61 balls with eight fours and three sixes) and captain Mayank Agarwal (64 off 68 balls with seven fours) put on a massive opening stand of 117 runs.

Later, Narayan Jagadeesan (72 off 66 balls with four fours and three sixes) Ricky Bhui (31) and Arun Karthik (21) mounted the attack. Narayanan was the last wicket to fall.
Rishi Dhawan (2/30) and Mayank Markande (2/53) shone with the ball for the North Zone. Sandeep Sharma, Nitish Rana and Mayank Dagar were among the wicket takers.

Chasing 304 runs, Nitish-led North Zone were all out for 60 runs in 23 overs.

Vidwat Kaverappa continued his red-hot form from the Duleep Trophy with 5/17 in six overs. Vijayakumar Vaishank, Sai Kishore, Washington Sundar and Vasuki Kaushik took two wickets each.
