In the match between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 15 in Ahmedabad, the speedsters scored 214 runs in 27 overs at an economy rate of 7.9 at an economy rate of 12.58 each, an IPL record of seventeen wickets. The spinners bowled 123 runs in 13 overs without taking a single wicket at an economy rate of 9.5.

# Mohammad Shami took 15 wickets (15.86) from thirteen innings in Powerplay – the most by a bowler in this IPL. Only two bowlers have taken more wickets in an IPL season in the Powerplay – Mitchell Johnson’s 16 wickets from seventeen innings in 2013 at an average of 14.75 and Trent Boult’s 15.12 from fifteen innings in 2020.
# Yuzvendra Chahal has taken 21 wickets at 18.66 from thirteen matches in this IPL, becoming the first bowler to take 20 or more wickets five times in an IPL season. He previously achieved this feat in 2015 (23), 2016 (21), 2020 (21) and 2022 (27). Lasith Malinga achieved this feat 4 times in 2011 (28), 2012 (22), 2013 (20) and 2015 (24).
# Rajasthan Royals (59) suffered the biggest defeat in IPL history by 112 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (171/5) at Jaipur on March 14. This is the lowest score of any team in this IPL.
# Rajasthan (59) posted their second-lowest total behind 58 against RCB in Cape Town on 18 April 2009 – third lowest by any team – and their lowest score was against Bangalore against Bangalore on 23 April 2017 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. .
# Royal Challengers Bangalore have won four matches by 100 or more runs – the first team to achieve this feat in the IPL. Their three wins were recorded on 14 May 2016 against Gujarat Lions by 144 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. 138 against Punjab Kings on 6 May 2015 and 130 against Pune Warriors on 23 April 2013.

# Kolkata’s Rinku Singh has been in fine form this IPL, scoring 407 runs (50.87) with three fifties at a strike rate of 143.30 from thirteen innings – the most by a Kolkata batsman. No other KKR batsman averaged more than 35 runs.
# Rinku is the fifth batsman to score more than 400 runs in an IPL season while batting at number five or below, joining Dinesh Karthik (2018), David Miller (2022), Kieron Pollard (2013) and Andre Russell (2019).
# Rinku hits 25 sixes – the most by a KKR batsman in this IPL. His haul included eighteen sixes in the chase – the most by any batsman in the current competition.
# Rajasthan Royals’ 10.3 overs was the second shortest all-out innings after RCB’s 9.4 when they scored 49 runs against Kolkata at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 23 April 2017.
# Royal Challengers Bangalore have taken 30 wickets in the Powerplay so far – the most by a team in this IPL. This is their best performance in IPL history.

# Faf du Plessis has taken 121 innings to reach 4,000 runs – the fourth fastest in the IPL – followed by Lokesh Rahul (105), Chris Gayle (112) and David Warner (114). Virat Kohli’s 128 innings and AB de Villiers’ (131) – the fifth and sixth fastest in the IPL.
# Faf du Plessis scored 631 runs at an average of 57.36 with seven fifties from twelve innings at a strike rate of 154.27 to become the first batsman to score 600+ runs in IPL 2023.
# Du Plessis has scored seven fifties – the most by any batsman in this edition of the IPL. His best performance is six in sixteen innings registered in 2021.
# Mumbai Indians The match marked their fifth 200-plus score – the first team to achieve the feat in an IPL season. Chennai Super Kings (2018, 2022 & 2023), Punjab Kings (2014 & 2023), Kolkata Knight Riders (2019 & 2023), Royal Challengers Bangalore (2016) and Rajasthan Royals (2023) have recorded a total score of over 200 in a season.
# The highest score by a batsman at number eight or below in IPL history was Rashid Khan’s unbeaten 79 off 32 balls against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on May 12.
# Rashid Khan (79 not out + 4/30) became the third all-rounder to record 75-plus and take a four-wicket haul in an IPL match, joining Yuvraj Singh (83 + 4/35 against Rajasthan in Bengaluru). May 11, 2014) and Paul Valthati (75 + 4/29 vs Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad on April 16, 2011).

# Rashid Khan hit ten sixes in his aforementioned innings – the most sixes in an innings in this IPL. Most sixes by any batsman in Twenty20 cricket with eight or less.
# Mumbai Indians’ highest score in IPL against Gujarat Titans – their all-time best score in this IPL – was 207 for seven against KKR at Ahmedabad on April 9, 2023.
# Mumbai Indians became the first team to score five 200-plus totals in an IPL season – twice against Punjab and one each against Rajasthan Royals, Bangalore and Gujarat Titans.
# Mumbai Indians’ 200-plus total in five successful chases is a record for any team in an IPL season.
# Mumbai Indians’ other IPL record is their three consecutive chases – 214 for 4 (212/7) against Rajasthan at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 30; 216 for four (214/3) against Punjab in Mohali on May 3 and 200 for four against RCB (199/6) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 9.

# Suryakumar YadavHis 49-ball 103 not out against the Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 12 May is the highest score in the IPL – his maiden century – and his fourth in Twenty20 cricket. His highest performance in the IPL was his 83 against RCB on 9 May 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
# Yadav became the first batsman to score a century against Gujarat Titans in IPL. The previous best against them was 92 by Ruturaj Gaekwad for Chennai on 31 March 2023 at Ahmedabad.
Sunrisers’ Bhuvneshwar Kumar (5/30) and Gujarat’s Mohammed Shami (4/21) and Mohit Sharma (4/28) provided the first instance of three bowlers taking four or more wickets in an IPL match on May 15 in Ahmedabad.
# Bhuvneshwar Kumar (5/30) notches his second five-wicket haul in the IPL – his best was 5 for 19 against Punjab in Hyderabad on 17 April 2017. He is the first Sunrisers bowler to achieve two five-wicket hauls. IPL Two other bowlers – Rajasthan’s James Faulkner and RCB’s Jaydev Unadkat – have recorded two five-wicket hauls in IPL history.
# Set the record for most 200-plus totals in this IPL – 31. It is unlikely to be surpassed easily. The successful chase included seven totals – another IPL record – three each by Mumbai Indians, Kolkata, Lucknow, Punjab and Sunrisers.
# Eleven matches in this edition have seen both teams score 200-plus in the same match – an all-time record in the IPL, surpassing five in 2022.

# Thirteen times in this edition, a match aggregate looked over 400 – another first in IPL history. Three times in Mumbai (WS), twice each in Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Mohali and once in Jaipur.
# Before the start of the match between PBKS and DC on May 17, the top five run-scorers in this IPL – Faf du Plessis (631), Shubman Gill (576), Yashasvi Jaiswal (575), Devon Conway (498) and Suryakumar Yadav (486).
# Leading wicket-takers with 20 or more scalps – Mohammad Shami (23), Rashid Khan (23), Yuzvendra Chahal (21) and Piyush Chawla (20)
# Second time in IPL history to record a century and a five-wicket haul in the same IPL game – first instance by Jos Buttler (103) and Yuzvendra Chahal (5/40) – Rajasthan vs KKR on 18 April 2022 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
# Shubhman Gill and Sai Sudarshan shared a 147-run second-wicket stand – Gujarat Titans’ highest partnership in the IPL, as Gill, Wriddhiman Saha and Lucknow Supergiants scraped 142 runs for the first wicket in Ahmedabad on May 7. 2023
# 78.19% runs were recorded by the second wicket pair (147) in a total of 188 – a century partnership batted by all players in a Twenty20 innings.
# Shubhman Gill (101 off 58 balls) hits his maiden century in IPL, hitting 96 against Punjab Kings at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on April 8, 2022. This is his third century in Twenty20 cricket.

# The first instance of scoring more than 500 runs in an IPL season was registered by Shubman Gill, who scored 576 runs at an average of 48.00 including a century and four fifties in thirteen innings in 2022 against 483 runs (at an average of 34.50) in sixteen innings in 2022. His feat is the record for any Gujarat player in an IPL season.
# Gill scored 1059 runs at an average of 40.73 including 108 fifties in 29 innings and became the first Gujarat batsman to score more than 1000 runs in the IPL.
