“We believe that Karthik may have jumped into the sea and his body was washed ashore on July 20,” Sangareddy rural SI M Rajesh Naik said.
The police will convert the missing case into a suspicious death case after receiving the case file from the Visakhapatnam police.
“A body was found decomposed and washed ashore about 10 km from where Karthik was last seen. A cell phone was found in the trouser pocket of the body and was identified based on its IMEI number,” said Naik.
