Omaha, Neb. (WOWT) – Monday is 6 Early Warning Weather Day. The First Alert Weather Team is monitoring early-morning storms, followed by dangerous heat and lingering heat.
A strong storm has formed over the area and will continue to move south. Some large hail, occasional thunderstorms and extended showers are possible along the way. A severe storm watch is in place for much of the area until 9 a.m.

After the morning storm, the focus of the sixth alert weather day will be the start of the week’s warm building. Today’s highs will reach the low 90s, with heat index values easily reaching the mid-90s.
