Rohit’s comical response made the internet laugh

An interesting interaction from the second Test between India and West Indies, which is currently going on in Trinidad, is doing the rounds on social media, with Rohit looking confused.

On the fourth day of the ongoing Test match, young batsmen Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan rose to the crease and played aggressively to seize the moment to extend India’s lead.

In what appeared to be a moment of interaction from the skipper to the batsmen on the field, Rohit was seen talking to substitute Navdeep Saini. Fans online are amused by the surprised look on Rohit’s face as he looked out the window to relay the message.

The ‘Hitman’ is loved for his jovial demeanor off the field as much as he is appreciated for his extraordinary performance with the bat. His calm personality and memorable expressions often make the rounds on social media.

Coming to his on-field display, the Indian opener’s form on the pitch in the two-match Test series against the West Indies has been impressive. His batting prowess was visible in the first Test, where he scored a stunning century, followed by excellent back-to-back half-centuries in the second Test.

The second innings in Trinidad witnessed a dazzling display from the lively batsman as he smashed his way to a brilliant half-century off just 35 balls, his fastest half-century in Test cricket.

The 36-year-old, who is playing his 52nd Test match, scored 57 runs on Sunday to bring up his 16th half-century. He has scored 3677 runs in 88 innings at an average of 46.54.

Also, since the start of the World Test Championship (WTC) in 2019, Rohit has been India’s highest run-scorer in the tournament with 2092 runs from 25 matches, a testament to his consistency. He has seven centuries and six fifties at the WTC at an average of 53.64.
