“Across the country, artist associations are not part of their state federations, but like us, they have memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to come together on common issues affecting the entire labor community and the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) ecosystem in general,” he added.
Bell said, “I read the article and it clearly mentions that there is no statement from the actors. CINTAA recently signed an MoU.Movie Artists Association (MAA), so we had to sign an MoU with other state associations in the south of India. Also, we have to fly to Hyderabad soon, where MAA is facilitating a joint meeting of CINTAA and other South artist associations. In fact, Manoj Joshi, our president, EC member Mukesh Tiwari I relate to all of them.
Earlier it was said that FEFCI members could not secure jobs as Tamil films were made with stars and actors from other industries. Many films were shot in foreign locations, creating unemployment for FEFCI members.
Considering the situation, FEFSI has laid down strict rules as follows:
1. Only Tamil artists should be hired for Tamil films.
2. Films will be shot only in Tamil Nadu.
3. No shooting in or out of state unless necessary.
4. If the shoot is not completed on time or the budget is not exhausted, appropriate reasons should be communicated to the producers in writing.
