Shares fell 5% on weak first-quarter results

Revenue from the wind turbine generator segment fell to Rs 803 crore from Rs 831 crore year-on-year, while foundry and forging segment revenue fell to Rs 111 crore from Rs 120 crore.

Suslon Energy fell 5 percent in trade after reporting weak performance in the first quarter of FY24.

Revenue declined 2 percent to Rs 1,351 crore from Rs 1,381 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) declined 7 percent to Rs 199 crore from Rs 215 crore in the same quarter last year. EBITDA margins declined by 90 bps year-on-year to 14.7 percent. The net profit for the quarter is Rs 101 crore

Revenue from the wind turbine generator segment fell to Rs 803 crore from Rs 831 crore year-on-year. The foundry and forging segment’s revenue rose to Rs 111 crore from Rs 120 crore and the operation and maintenance services segment rose to Rs 493 crore from Rs 453 crore.

Suslon Energy’s order book as on June 30, 2023 stood at 1433 MW, while 149 MW of orders were announced after June 30, 2023. The company says the roll-out of the highly competitive 3MW WTG series will be visible.
