The Konkan region is witnessing some extreme weather activity as the monsoon is active. In the last 24 hours, Harnai recorded 62 mm, Ratnagiri 50 mm and Alibag 30 mm.
Mumbai city had a bumper July in terms of rainfall activities. Santa Cruz recorded 56 mm of rain in the last 24 hours since 8:30 am on Monday. The total rainfall for this month is 1347 mm against the monthly average of 919.9 mm.
Heavy rain is likely in Konkan. Southern regions including Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Raigad and Deogadh will receive heavy rainfall compared to northern regions of Mumbai, Alibag and Thane.
Heavy or very heavy rains in southern parts of Konkan and heavy rains in other parts of Konkan in the next two days. Due to the presence of systems in the Bay of Bengal, this rain is attributed to the active sea disturbance.
