On July 18, the rainfall will decrease slightly,” said Dehradun Meteorological Department Director Vikram Singh.

“Flood rescue operations by the National Disaster Response Force are continuing in flood-hit areas of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Delhi, where heavy rainfall and release of water from barrages have caused unprecedented flooding,” an official said in a statement on Friday evening.

A total of 58 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been dispatched to the flood-affected states to assist in rescue and relief operations, working in collaboration with the respective state administrations. Specifically, there are 16 NDRF teams in Delhi, 11 each in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and 10 each in Punjab and Haryana.
