All educational institutions in different regions of the two states will remain closed on July 25, media reports said.
According to reports, student unions are protesting against several irregularities in the education sector and want the government to take a decision on the matter.
The leaders said that all the problems of the students will be solved tomorrow.
The student organizations have also demanded construction of compound walls for women’s hostels in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) and Gurukuls in the two states.
The student organizations said that all student unions have united against the two governments to fulfill these demands.
Earlier, around 50 girls fell ill after consuming contaminated food at Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ School in Amarchinta village.
The students alleged that the food being served was of poor quality and that rotten tomatoes were used.
The Telugu Nadu Students Federation (TNSF) is also supporting the July 25 school shutdown to protest against the government’s anti-student policies.
TNSF is demanding that the state government take strict action against the increased fees of private institutions and follow the official fee structure.
