Newcomers Shanaya Kapoor and Zahra S Khan have joined the cast of superstar Mohanlal’s pan-Indian film. Taurusproducers said on Saturday.
Ekta R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms has joined hands with Connect Media and AVS Studios for the multilingual project directed by Nanda Kishore. It will also feature actor Roshan Meka.
Actor Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya will soon make her Hindi film debut with Karan Johar’s home production “Bedhadak”.
According to a press release, the actor will play an important character who will “bridge the gap between the past and present timelines of this epic action entertainer”.
“I am very excited to face the camera and start shooting. There will be a lot to learn and explore from this film. The storyline is a fascinating one that will stick with me. Also, with all the big names associated with the film, being produced on a grand scale, it is a role that any young actor would be excited and inspired to play. Especially at the beginning of one’s career. .
“It’s a dream come true. And proud to be a part of ‘Vrishabha’ with Mohanlal sir. Extremely grateful,” Shanaya said in a statement.
Zahra is the daughter of veteran star Salma Agha and is making her debut in Indian cinema with the film “Vrishabha”. She plays the role of a warrior princess.
The actor said he is excited to work with Mohanlal and Meka in his first pan-India release.
“I always want to be a part of a film with top level actors like Mohan sir. Sharing screen space with him is a treat for me as an actor. The look and feel of the film is huge. From the periodical section till now. I am eagerly waiting for everyone to see my character and the way it has been shaped. Credit our director Nanda sir. Can’t wait for everyone to watch this epic movie,” she added.
Ha Production will begin later this month. The film will hit theaters in 2024 in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi languages.
The project is produced by Abhishek Vyas, Vishal Gurnani, Juhi Parekh Mehta, Shyam Sundar of First Step Movies, Ekta R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms and Varun Mathur of Connect Media.
