SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar on joining NDA ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha polls

Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief Om Prakash Rajvar has decided to join the NDA to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday and discussed the issues of poor and backward people at the ground level. Rajbar said he took the final decision to join the NDA for the welfare of these people which is ‘also the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’. He thanked Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for taking him and his party along with other NDA members.

About his meeting with Amit Shah, he said, “We met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on July 14 and discussed various issues and decided to fight the 2024 elections together. I would like to thank PM Modi, HM Amit Shah, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. . with us.”

Asked about his earlier comments of joining the opposition if the SP, BSP, RLD and Congress come together, Rajbhar said how long he would wait for him to come.

On Sunday, Shah tweeted a picture of him with Rajbhar and another leader and said, “I am @oprajbhar ji in Delhi and he has decided to join the NDA alliance led by Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji. I welcome him to the NDA family.”

“Rajbhar ji’s arrival will strengthen the NDA in Uttar Pradesh and the efforts being made by the NDA under the leadership of Modi ji for the welfare of the poor and needy will gain strength,” Shah further said.

This comes a day after BJP president JP Nadda invited LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan and Hindustani Awam Morcha president Jitan Ram Manjhi for an NDA meeting in Delhi on July 18.
