Mood tracking to personal health plans, analyst says Apple will adopt AI ‘aggressively’

JE Technology Desk: Apple will launch the latest iPhone 15 series in September, something that has been buzzing Apple fans for quite some time. Another update that is intriguing the world is AI, and the two may merge with the launch of the iPhone 15 series. Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives told the Daily Mail that we could soon witness more aggressive AI steps by Apple, which could coincide with the iPhone 15.

In the current scenario, the California-based tech giant is deploying AI and machine learning (ML) in products like the Siri voice assistant, features in new OSes including iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma for photo rendering and improved auto-correction. According to Tom’s Guide, Ives said, “It’s only a matter of time before Apple moves into artificial intelligence.” With this move, Apple can join the AI race with other tech titans like Microsoft, Google and Open AI. It’s important to note that the company didn’t make any big announcements or reveal plans for AI at WWDC 2023.

AI updates: iOS health app

Ives suggests that the Health app will customize recommendations for workouts, exercise plans, and diet based on data collected from sleep cycles, heart rate, breathing statistics, and more.

According to the analyst, Apple may use AI to measure a user’s mood by observing the conversation. This can be applied to messages, the report adds. This may be a debatable feature when it debuts. Ives has an impressive track record of Apple-related leaks.
