For the next couple of days, we have advisories, warnings and watches for caution, and a trough and cold front Sunday evening with a slight chill in the Cascades. Wind gusts of 45-50 MPH are possible in the Kittitas Valley. Because of the wind, the fire is expected to remain high or very intense next week.

After the cold front passes through we cool down a bit in the middle of the week. However, a low pressure area is moving towards British Columbia. Winds will drop and humidity will increase, reducing fire risk into next weekend. Another heat wave is calling for them to send us into the 100s from the lower basin on Thursday and Friday. Weather warning days. The eastern slopes will be in the mid to high 90s all week, with the lower basin in the low 100s to upper 90s.
