What happened? The World Cup-winning France international is nearing the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is set to arrive on free agency this summer. New terms for the 32-year-old in west London were at one point on the cards, but no deal has been agreed.
Big picture: Fabrizio Romano It is now claimed that officials from the Middle East have traveled to England for talks with Kante. He is said to have an offer on the table worth up to 100 million euros ($86 million/$107 million) when film rights and commercial deals are added to the pot.
