According to sources, Liverpool have held constructive talks with Brighton and McAllister is expected to become Liverpool’s first major signing of the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have prioritized the recruitment of at least two midfielders this summer after the Anfield contracts of Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain expired.
The source added that Liverpool are also keeping an interest in Wolves midfielder Matthews Nunes, Nice’s Khefren Thuram and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kon.
