Backed by Dalapati 68’s audio rights for a smashing deal
It is alleged that T-Series bought the audio rights of Dalapati 68 at a record price. Rumors suggest that the cost of a film is the highest ever in the history of Tamil cinema. This should come as no surprise to anyone. Of all the actors in Tamil cinema now, Dalapathy is the winner with the biggest crowd pull. His films, even those with extremely negative reviews, do well at the box office.
Dalapati 68 is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Often collaborates with music director Venkat Prabhu. Therefore, there was no second thought in anyone’s mind as to who would compose the songs of Dalapati 68.
Vijay recently wrapped up the shooting of Leo and will soon start shooting for his next project. There was a lot of talk about the film being the Thullal Manam and Thullum actor’s last film before his inevitable foray into the world of politics.
Coming to the director of Dalapati 68, the choice of Venkat Prabhu as the director of Vijay’s 68th film surprised many. But fans hope that he will do the same to Vijay as he did to Ajith in 2011 with Mankatha. The film revived Ajith’s career and introduced him as a character with negative shades. His last release was Custody starring Naga Chaitanya, Arvind Swamy, Kriti Shetty, Priyamani and R Sarathkumar. The film failed to make an impact at the box office but received decent reviews from critics.
