A police officer of Kumbalagdu police station said that the case is under investigation.
A class 7 student committed suicide near Kengeri in Bengaluru on Thursday, July 20 as she was being bullied by her school teachers. Samykha was a student of Tattva School in Kumbalgodu. A case has been registered at Kumbalagdu police station and investigation into the death is underway.
Prajwal, Sukhya’s maternal uncle, told TNM that Sukhya has been refusing to go to her school for a month. She said she became very conscious of her appearance and often asked questions about it. Savi’s friends also told the family that he was often scolded and punished during classes for no reason, he claimed.
“When her mother said she would come to the school and talk to the authorities, Savikha begged them not to because she was afraid it would bully her further. There was an incident where she was reprimanded simply for complaining that the washrooms were dirty,” Prajwal alleged.
“We have registered a case of non-death but we are investigating all the complaints of the victim’s family,” a police official told TNM.
TNM has contacted Tattva School for a response and will update the article upon receipt
The study’s death follows the suicide of another student in Bengaluru. Aditya Prabhu, a BTech student of Bangalore’s PES University, committed suicide on July 17.
Aditya takes the mobile phone to the examination hall. He was caught by the inspector. Later, Aditya was allegedly verbally harassed by the authorities after which he committed suicide.
