The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for all of Connecticut.
The watch will be in effect until 3 p.m., depending on the service.
Additionally, a frontal system moving into the northeast will bring locally heavy showers and thunderstorms on Sunday.
Generally 1 to 2 inches of rain is expected, but 3 to 5 inches in some places or even more in isolated areas.
With heavy rain expected, the National Weather Service has a flash flood watch in place until late Sunday night.
A few strong thunderstorms are also possible, with dangerous winds and the possibility of a tornado being the main concerns.
