Heat wave hits Colorado weather

Today’s forecast:
Southern Colorado will have a warm summer day with near zero cloud cover and temperatures 3-5 degrees above average. It will be dry with only light winds.

Colorado Springs Forecast: High: 90; Lower: 59. Today about 3 degrees above average and sunny with a N wind at 10 mph.

Pueblo Forecast: High: 97; Lower: 61. Sunny and warm today with a NNW wind at 5-10 mph.

Cannon City Forecast: High: 94; Lower: 63. Sunny Sunday with N wind 5-10 mph.

Woodland Park Forecast: High: 83; Lower: 52. Mostly sunny today with N wind at 10 mph.

Prediction of Triple Lakes: High: 84; Lower: 54. Sunny and warm today with N winds at 5-10 mph.

Plain forecast: High: 90s/100s; Lower: The 60s. Highs in the 90s to 100s. Sunny, warm and light breeze today.

Walsenburg and Trinidad Forecast: High: 92/91; Lower: 60/62. Sunny today with light winds and dry weather.

Mountain Forecast: High: 80s/90s; Lower: 50 cm Mid 80s to 90s in the mountain valleys with dry weather and clear skies.

Extended View Forecast:
Temperatures will be warmer on Monday and Tuesday, about 5 degrees warmer than today. Expect a very warm start to the week with dry weather. Strenuous outdoor activities can be dangerous in the heat, so listen to your body and find ways to limit sun exposure and cool down. The elderly and children are especially vulnerable to heatstroke.

A cold front will drop temperatures by Wednesday and bring thunderstorm chances for the rest of the week.
