Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Prashamt Krishna and Rachana Krishna got engaged on Tuesday, June 6.
The IPL franchise shared a cute photo of the couple on social media as they held up the famous piece during the engagement ceremony. The couple opted for ethnic wear for the traditional ceremony.
RR captioned the Instagram post:
“H̶i̶t̶c̶h̶e̶d̶ ̶kidded̶d̶! Congratulations @skiddyy and welcome to Royals Farm @rachana_krishna!”
Not much is known about Rachana Krishna who has a private Instagram account.
On the professional front, Prasid Krishna has missed the entire 2023 IPL due to a lumbar stress fracture.
This is after the Royals retained him for Rs 10 crore ahead of the mini-auction as he played with the ball during the IPL 2022 campaign. He took 19 wickets in 17 games at an economy rate of 8.29 as RR reached the final in that edition.
Sandeep Sharma has been included in the Royals squad for the 2023 season.
Krishna has not played competitive cricket since India’s tour of Zimbabwe in August 2022. He was injured after the 50 over series.
Krishna was recommended for surgery after not recovering from the injury in January despite a stint with the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He went under the knife in February this year. The 27-year-old is on the road to rehabilitation ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup.
In his short stint with Team India, the right-arm pacer has made a difference in the middle overs thanks to his height, pace and tough length. He took 25 wickets in 14 ODIs, including two wickets against England and the West Indies.
Prasid Krishna’s RR is fifth in the IPL 2023 points table
Rajasthan Royals (RR) failed to qualify for the IPL 2023 playoffs by a comfortable margin (two points). The Jaipur-based franchise finished fifth with 14 points from seven games.
In the absence of Prasid Krishna, Sandeep Sharma has failed to live up to his potential, except for the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He returned with 10 wickets from 12 games at an economy rate of 8.60.
