According to the report, the OnePlus Fold will make its global debut in the first half of August

OnePlus, which made headlines at its Cloud 11 event by announcing that it was working on its first foldable smartphone, is already good news for tech enthusiasts. In a new update, the company is likely to announce the OnePlus Fold in the first half of August. Also, the report suggests that OnePlus will hold a New York location and the company will do a global rollout of the device.

Citing information from popular tipster Yogesh Brar, PriceBaba’s report says that the company is planning to hold a global event in New York where it will announce its first foldable phone that will take on the segment leaders. The report confirmed that the device will make its debut in the first days of August and the device will debut in critical markets like India and the US.

OnePlus Fold Specifications (Expected)

The report also mentioned that the brand might unveil the OnePlus Fold as a rebranded version of the Oppo Find N3, which is set to launch in August in the home country. If reports are to be believed, the company might introduce the OnePlus Fold with a 7-inch OLED screen with QHD+ resolution. The cover screen is said to be around 6.5 inches and will be an OLED panel with FHD+ resolution. Interestingly, both the screens will get a 120Hz refresh rate panel.

According to the report, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and is likely to be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone will run on Android 13 based Oxygen OS 13.1. The OnePlus Fold will be backed by a 4,800 mAh battery and 80W charging.

Talking about optics, the smartphone gets a 32MP camera on the cover display and a 32MP camera on the inner screen. Additionally, the smartphone is likely to get optical image stabilization with a 50MP primary shooter, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 32MP periscopic telephoto lens.
