Pita LimjaronrathThe political party that won the most seats in Thailand’s general election should have a better chance of winning enough votes from lawmakers to become prime minister, according to opinion polls.
More than 60% of 1,310 respondents nationwide supported him in a July 11-12 survey conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration. In the NIDA poll, 43.2% said allies should continue to nominate Pitta until he wins the top job, while 20.7% said they should nominate him as a front-runner one or two more times.
