Toyota sold 18,237 units in June 2023, compared to 10 percent YoY growth, while MoM sales were down 6 percent.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors, India’s sixth largest PV maker with a market share of 5.6 per cent, saw increased demand for its models, particularly the Innova Highcross, Innova Crysta, Highrider and Fortuner. The company is currently gearing up for the launch of the new Rumion MPV, which will be launched in September 2023. It is based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
Toyota India has announced a price hike across its portfolio from July 5, 2023, making it the second time this fiscal has announced a price hike. Toyota’s range currently includes Glanza, Urban Cruiser Highrider, Innova Crysta, Innova Highcross, Fortuner, Camry and Hilux.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors sales in June 2023 were 18,237 units. This is a year-on-year growth of 10 percent compared to 16,512 units sold in June 2022. However, MoM sales were down 6 percent from 19,379 units sold in May 2023.
Toyota Innova Crysta is the best seller from the company. Sales of 5,086 units were recorded last month. As of June 2022, sales were at 6,795 units, a decline of 25%. The Toyota Glanza is in second place with 3,467 units sold in June 2023, up 207 percent from 1,129 units sold in June 2022. 33 percent MoM de-growth from 5,179 units sold in May 2023.
Innova Hicross is third in the list with sales of 3,275 units in June 2023. This is a growth of 9.53% MoM. Fortuner sales declined by 2 percent to 3,086 units in June 2023 from 3,133 units sold in June 2022.
Toyota Hilux, Camry Post YoY, MoM Growth
There was also the relatively new Highrider which contributed 2,821 units to the total sales last month. However, the MoM de-growth was 9 percent from 3,090 units sold in May 2023. Toyota Hilux sales grew to 318 units in June 2023, up 1771 percent from 17 units sold in June 2022 and 6 percent from 300 units sold in May 20203 MoM2. .
Sales rose 107 percent YoY and 30 percent MoM to 184 units from 89 units sold in June 2022. Welfare discontinued. The new gen welfare will be launched by the end of this year. Some dealers have started taking unofficial bookings.
