The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) said on Sunday that Chennai and many other parts of Tamil Nadu will receive moderate to heavy rainfall for the next 3-4 days.
Thunder and lightning are likely at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karakal regions, while heavy rain is likely at one or two places over Nilgiris and Ghats in Coimbatore district, the Meteorological Agency said in a statement.
According to weather blogger Srikanth, under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Central India, Monsoon will remain strong with the possibility of heavy #rainfall at stages between Maharashtra and North Kerala. Like yesterday, there will be some rapid thundershowers over North Tamil Nadu, he said.
Expect generally cloudy skies with a chance of thunder and lightning along with light to moderate rain in some areas on Monday. The maximum temperature is expected to touch 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, temperatures dropped in some parts of Tamil Nadu following heavy rains on Saturday and Sunday.
